2010: The logo and story behind the logo I LOVE NYC is fascinating. So is the idea of going to NYC and buying that logo on a t-shirt or anything else for that matter. I thought about and around the whole idea of that and realised that it needs its opposite. Sort of like the cross and the flipped cross – christians and satanists. What does it mean to say I “red heart” NY and what doees it mean to say I “black heart upside down NY”. I just had to make the shirt to find out. To me, its not about love and or hate. It could be the black heart upside down means you miss NY and therefore your heart is black and upside down. Anyhow, I think its more fun with a black upside down heart than the upside down cross… as I probably said before, anything religious just doesn't blow my whistle.
